Engr. Christy Omeno Oduh was born on June 10th 1969 at Otukpo to the family of Mr and Mrs Oduh Odeh of Upu in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State. She attended St. Andrew’s Primary School Otukpo, where she obtained First School Leaving Certificate in 1977. She proceeded to Government Technical College, Makurdi, Benue State where she obtained her Secondary School Certificate in 1984. She attended the famous Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna and obtained National Diploma (ND) in Agricultural Mechanization in 1987 and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Agricultural Engineering in 1992. In 1995, Engr. Christy Omeno Oduh obtained Advanced Diploma in Personnel Management (ADPM) from Benue State University, Makurdi. Thereafter, she furthered her education at the Federal University of Agriculture, Markurdi, Benue State where she obtained Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Agricultural Engineering in 1997.
In 2000, Engr. Christy Omeno Oduh gained employment with the Federal Ministry of Water Resources as Principal Technical Officer II and rose to the rank of Director, Irrigation Engineering in 2022.
In recognition of her contribution to the practice of Irrigation Engineering, she was awarded the UNESCO-IHE Fellowship by the Netherlands Government in 2004 and later attended Masters of Engineering (M.Eng) course in Land and Water Development at the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education, Delft, The Netherlands. For her outstanding perfomance, she was awarded two other fellowship programmes, one on Spate Irrigation Management in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in 2012 and Service Oriented Management of Irrigation Systems / Mordenization of Irrigation and Drainage Schemes in UNESCO-IHE, Delft, The Netherlands in 2014. She has served in various capacities and worked on various water and Irrigation Projects in Nigeria.
In 2018, Engr. Christy Omeno Oduh was awarded the prestigious International Visitors Leadership Programme sponsored by the United States Department of State on Transboundary Water Resources Management exposing her to Transboundary Water Resources Management issues in many states in the United States of America.
Engr. Christy Omeno Oduh holds a corporate membership with the following Professional bodies: Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) 2003; Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE) 2000; Nigerian Institute of Agricultural Engineers (NIAE) 1999; Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN); and The America Society for Women Engineers (SWE).
Engr. Christy Omeno Oduh is actively involved in continuous professional development in Irrigated Agricultural Management and Leadership Programmes and has attended several courses within Nigeria and overseas on Water Integrity, Water Resources Management, Water Supply for Rural Settlement in Africa etc.

She is a Christian mother that loves children, youths and charity works.
