The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Water Resources, Mrs Didi Walson-Jack OON, mni, reaffirmed that the Ministry’s commitment to partnering with TCF is in alignment with their shared objectives. She reiterated that the Ministry’s mandate to provide sustainable access to safe and sufficient water to meet the socio-economic and cultural needs of all Nigerians resonates with the mission of TCF.

She noted that the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) initiatives, the Clean Nigeria- Use the Toilet Campaign, to end open Defecation in Nigeria and the Dams and Irrigation projects of the Ministry are avenues where collaboration with TCF could yield substantial benefits.
The Permanent Secretary added that synergy between the Ministry and TCF presents a unique opportunity to enhance the nation’s ongoing WASH projects and services, which would also help the Foundation achieve its objectives.
Mr J. M. Chanrai, Chairman Emeritus of Tulsi Chanrai Foundation, expressed his gratitude to Mrs. Walson-Jack and the Ministry’s Management for their willingness to collaborate with the Foundation.
He recalled that the Tulsi Chanrai Foundation was established in 1992 as an International Non-Governmental Organization and Charitable Trust by the Chanrai Family of India to address critical needs such as Primary Health Care, with a specific focus on Eye Hospitals, as well as the provision of clean and potable water to communities.
The collaboration between the Ministry of Water Resources and the Tulsi Chanrai Foundation is poised to significantly impact Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene services, contributing positively to the well-being of Nigerians.
